Cookie Policy

The website uses a Django session cookie when you sign in, a CSRF cookie to protect submitted forms, an nss-lang cookie when you choose English or Dutch, and local browser storage for the selected light/dark theme and your cookie preference record. These values do not contain your password. Session and CSRF settings use HttpOnly, Secure and SameSite protections where appropriate in production.

Session and CSRF technologies are necessary for secure authentication, account functions, form protection and access control. Refusing optional categories does not disable these essential safeguards. The session normally expires when the browser closes and is also subject to the server-configured inactivity lifetime.

The language cookie is set when you select a language and lasts up to one year. Theme storage is set when you choose light or dark mode and remains until browser storage is cleared. These values provide the function you explicitly request. The consent record nss-cookie-consent-v1 stores necessary, functional, analytics and marketing choices, a timestamp and policy version in local storage.

The current application does not load a website analytics package, advertising pixel or marketing tracker. The Cookie Settings interface records these optional choices so consent can be respected if such a feature is introduced. An optional integration must not be activated merely because this policy lists it; the technical implementation must check the recorded choice before loading it.

The Contact page embeds Google Maps for the Netherlands and Nepal locations. Google may receive technical information, including your IP address, when the map loads and may use its own cookies or storage. Social-media icons are ordinary external links and do not load a social plugin before you click them. Review the relevant provider's policies when using an external service.

The current Help feature does not use cookies to store a conversation. It matches each question locally against prewritten website answers and replaces the previous answer in component memory. Closing or reloading the page clears that interaction. Questions are not currently sent to an external AI service.

Use Cookie Settings to accept, reject or update optional categories. You can also remove cookies and local storage through browser controls; doing so may sign you out and reset language, theme and consent choices. Blocking all cookies can prevent authentication and protected forms from working.
